Here's an idea for Windows 7 or even 8. How about a setting to apply Gaussian blur to the window Transparency function? This would allow for some transparency, but make text a little more readable in folder windows. The result would be a blurred transparency that gives a window a frosted look. How difficult would this be to implement? I suppose this feature could be used in Windows 10, as well.
