hi,

i have a paid version of display fusion (through steam) and it was working perfectly until i upgraded to 8.1 this evening... now, classic start button does not work correctly with df's multi-monitor taskbar.

- on primary monitor, the start button is classic shell's icon, even though i told classic shell to not replace button icon.
- on primary monitor, the start button, when pressed, still brings up metro! even though it's configured to bring up classic start menu.
- on primary monitor, rt-clicking on the taskbar brings up settings for df. so i'm assuming this is the df taskbar.

- on secondary monitor, the 8.1 start button icon is present (i want this)
- on secondary monitor, when pressed, brings up classic start menu (i want this)
- on secondary monitor, rt-clicking on the taskbar brings up settings for windows default taskbar options. so i'm assuming this is the standard window's taskbar.

------------------------------------

so i turned OFF df's multimonitor taskbar and turned on the 8.1 taskbars on each monitor setting and now it's more or less correct. i lose the coolness of df's tray/date and time on both monitors... but classic start menu comes up when i push the start button on both monitors AND the icon is not being replaced on both monitors.

so as it is, i'm losing df's multimonitor toolbar functionality. not a huge deal. but you guys should be aware.

and do you guys have plans on restoring full functionality with classic start menu? cuz it's not a huge deal but i would like to turn on df's taskbars asap.

thanks much.

The Start button icon issue is on our list, so I've added your vote to it.

For the issue of the Start button bringing up the Windows 8 Start Screen on the DisplayFusion taskbar, could you try changing the "Windows Key Opens" option on the Classic Start Menu > Controls tab to "Classic Start Menu?"

If you want to move your native Windows taskbar back to the Primary monitor, you can do the following:
  • Right-click the Windows taskbar, make sure "Lock the taskbar" is not enabled
  • Left-click and drag it to the bottom of the Primary monitor

Thanks!
