Howdy,

I'm running the preview version of Windows 8.1 (with Media Centre Build 9431) and as such don't expect the software I'm using to function correctly, I'm just providing some information on an unusual issue I've been having with DisplayFusion.

After a random period of time (can be an hour or ten minutes) I've noticed a series of graphical distortions start appearing. The taskbars (including the Windows one) cease updating and other Windows start failing to update properly, becoming distorted. I've attached an image example of this, with the central monitor showing the most pronounced defects (the Windows Explorer window behind has almost completely gone white). After killing the DisplayFusion process the windows return to normal and update themselves (sometimes requires a resizing / minimise event).

I've attached a log file on "Detailed" level in case it helps also, though from reading it I'm not entirely sure it does. I'm not entirely sure of the exact time when it occurs, as it takes a minute or two to notice; likely sometime in the 3-5min prior to it restarting. I haven't observed this occurring with DisplayFusion closed.

Unrelated:
When DisplayFusion is functioning correctly it's not possible to deselect a window by clicking on the DisplayFusion Taskbar like you can by clicking the Windows one.
The Start8 icon seems to sit slightly low on the bar (in screenshot), though that could be Start8's fault.

Preview software is fun :)

I have noticed the same on Win 8 x64 (not SP1). Currently running 5.10 B11. Ending Displayfusion via task manager fixes the problem.

It is a new occurrence over the last few days. Seems to have started with with either B10 or B09. I think it was already occuring before B11. I have found it can run for hours before the progression into graphic corruption starts.

Same thing under Windows 7 64-bit using 5.1 B11.

Does seem to take some time before it rears it's head -- but less than 2 hours today.

I've just spotted another thread which appears to be on the same subject:

Rolling back to B10 as suggested.

Sorry about this issue, just rollback to Beta 10 for now. We'll be releasing Beta 12 this afternoon and this issue will be fixed. Thanks! :)

DisplayFusion 5.1 Beta 12 is now available, and these issues should be all fixed up.

Thanks!

Ah awesome, I hadn't considered that it wasn't 8.1 doing it. Seems like it's fixed, thanks :)

Apologies for splitting the topic.
