Hey,
I just upgraded to Window 11 and updated to the newest beta of DF, except now when I snap a window on either of my side monitors the content goes behind it like this (see attached file). It seems like it snaps to full screen ignoring the DisplayFusion task bar.
-
I didn't change any of my settings and it seemed to work fine when I first installed Beta 6, is there a setting I'm missing or something?
Thanks!
-
Edit: If I exit DF and reopen it it seems to cause the windows to snap properly, it seems like DF needs to be exited and reopened on boot otherwise windows ignore the taskbars.
-
Edit 2: Seems like even that is inconsistent, it took exiting and reopening 3 times for the snapping to work correctly.

I've managed to accomodate for this a bit:
Disabling every application that opens on startup that also pops up with a window seemed to fix it (Dicsord, Spotify, etc) I'm wondering if this is happening because they open first, then DF opens and then it messes up the snap area size

Sure thing, I've attached the DebugInfo .zip file.
I did a fresh boot and Displayfusion started at 10:21 AM, the taskbars on both of my side monitors appeared, and immediately windows I opened would snap behind the taskbars that DisplayFusion opened.

Beta 5 seems to work fine, window snapping was right immediately on boot.

Update: Beta 5 seems inconsistent as well, restarted computer to the same issue as Beta 6

It seems like it's the same issue as with Beta 5/6, although I've noticed that if I don't open any windows for a few minutes it then registers the proper "work area" resolution and doesn't go behind the taskbar.

Just an update, I saw Beta 7 was available so I installed it and tested it out, I'm still having the same issue as with Beta 3/4/5/6/7

This happens to me and is the sole reason I am about to uninstall DisplayFusion because its unusable.
Here is a screenshot of my webbrowser on facebook, I know its hard to figure out because I am using a dark theme and I have blacked out personal/sensitive info like names and my chat, however what I am trying to show you is where you actually type yourself in the chat box as well as the emoji button etc, it is all hidden behind DisplayFusions taskbar on the second monitor.
Known again I can start up my PC and this doesnt happen but most times, it is happening and restarting DisplayFusion several times hasnt fixed it.

I have uninstalled it now, no problems with Windows 11 taskbars

I was stumped why the taskbar on my second, higher resolution monitor (4K) was on top of the top boarder of a running app until this morning. My smaller screen is an HD resolution.
I have a program called Editpad Lite. It opened on the 4K monitor but I had no access to the top line because the DisplayFusion task bar was on top of the top boarder of that app. It also hid the tabs on that app.
I solved it by putting the taskbar on the side and that stays on the side and the app opens alongside of it. I believe that this is a bug in DisplayFusion for Windows 11.
Taskbars should stay on top AND deny any permission for an app to cover it except when streaming or other uses of the full screen.
I am running Beta 14. Let me know what help I can provide in understanding this or if there was something I could do differently. I love your product because I spend a lot of time on the computer (12 hours or so a day) and I like things pretty.

I just upgraded to Windows 11, and I'm having this issue. Updating to the latest beta doesn't fix it.

I've been having this same issue for a long time now, including the latest v10 beta 16. Also every now and then the df taskbar disappears for a second. For me it does get fixed temporarily when I restart windows explorer, but that's not much of a fix. I am also not getting the prompt to restart explorer, but to be fair, such a prompt would be kind of annoying...

Ive just reinstalled this after god knows how long, why is this very simple bug still happening? Absolute ridiculous, its unusable and you obviously cant fix it so you may aswel just give up on this software and call it a day as a business. You failed.
Uninstalling once again

No need to be so rude. How can they fix it if they can't reproduce it?
But it is true, I am also still experiencing this bug. I've turned off the multi-monitor taskbar..

I too have this problem on and off and I have Beta 16. I also agree with the responder who said the response from Lee Worrall67180 was rude. This app is a very nice customization of the Windows 11 interface. There are problems, and they are minor but annoying. I do not expect DisplayFusion to be perfect, but I sure would like it perfected.
I also would like the capability when there is a problem, to make a one-click identification of the time and dump of the log into any email with the proper address. I think that such a capability would more quickly bring a problem to the attention of you software folks.
