Hello,

I signed up for the free trial of Display Fusion Pro. I have activated it and the snap feature is not working. I have restarted my machine multiple times and set the sensitivity way up to 30 pixels (I had previously been using AeroSnap set at 20 pixels with no issues). My OS is Vista.

Thanks.

Why a pdf?

Concernign the issue, you said you used aerosnap, is that or any programs like it running?

PDF because for the screenshot I hit print screen and pasted in word, but this forum will not accept uploads from the new word so I printed that into pdf.

Nope, AeroSnap is no longer running. I deactivated it once I downloaded this program. The snap function (against the side of monitors, not against other windows) worked up until I entered the license key for the pro trial version, then it stopped.

That is certainly suspicious. My snapping works well. Let me sit on this for a while and think, prehaps Jon or another beta will come and help.

Is it possible for me to uninstall and re-install and still use the same license key?

Yes. I would copy the key to a file first though, I think the registry may get deleted for the key.

Hmm... do I have to do something other than just hit uninstall and restart? I did that, then re-installed the program and it came back with the same problem and all of my settings still the same, including the license key.

There ARE registry keys that DF saves, but I though the uninstall had an option to delete these. I'm not sure where the registry files are, but I'm sure you can find them with some snooping. Maybe t he advanced settings page here on the site?

@wyoung: Can you give this new beta a try:

Just download and install the beta over the existing version. I would be interested to see if this makes a difference. Thanks!

In an effort to cleanup the DisplayFusion forum, this topic is being locked and archived because it applies to an older version of DisplayFusion. If you are using the latest version of DisplayFusion and would still like some assistance, please create a new topic and I'll be happy to help you out. There are also beta versions available for testing the latest features and bug fixes:

Thanks! :)
