Hello,

First of all my specs:

Core2Quad 2.4GHz Q6600
Kingston HyperX 4GB DDR2 1066
Asus GTX660 2GB
3x Acer AL2216W 22" monitors in 1680x1050x32@60Hz
Rest of specs are irrelevant...

Monitor set up:

2.1 (left) 2.2 (middle) 2.3 (right)
I use nVidia Surround on it.
I bought DisplayFusion Steam edition.

  • 1 - My monitors are labeled in DF as 2.1, 2.2 and 2.3. Dont know why not 1.1 etc.
  • 2 - I can not pin any program to 2.1. Theres simply no option.
  • 3 - I can not make taskbar shortcuts from DF menu on monitor 2.1, or copy them from another monitor. The monitor 2.1 is marked red in the "Taskbar shortcuts * DisplayFusion Pro on Steam v5.1" screen.
  • 4 - The logon screen is warped. It makes the width of the image 1/3 of normal size. So i dont see it over all monitors. If i load a 1680x1050 image, it fills 1/3 of the middle screen, like its portrait mode. Probably a nVidia surround issue with splitting monitors with DF
  • 5 - After a DX application my taskbar on middle monitor goes to top screen. I can not set it to bottom like the other 2.
  • 6 - Wich brings me to this point; The middle taskbar doesnt have any options from DF, its only windows original. Is this how its meant to be?
  • 7 - Full screen functions from programs like video player maximize over 3 screens instead within the border of 1 monitor. Is there a way to also fit them inside 1 screen?
  • 8 - Some systray items do weird things. nVidia for example. If i do right mouse on it in tray it shows context menu. But monitor 2.1 and 2.3 show the context menu at the top left screen of monitor 2.1. Wich is annoying.

  • *EDIT:

  • 9 - When i start a program from the middle screen, and let my mouse whitin the borders of that screen, it starts maximized over all 3 monitors, instead of in the middle only, as i preffer.
When i start a program in the same screen, and hover my mouse to one of the other screens while the program loads, the program will start in the middle, but shifts quickly to the other screen, where my mouse is. Wich also istn supposed to happen.
the 2 side monitors dont show this behaviour and open up programs normally.
  • 10 - When i open up the systray's "show hidden icons" from the middle screen (2.2) the menu will open up on my left screen (2.1)

I hope to solve this soon. Because this isnt very convenient behaviour.

So anyone who knows the solutions and awnsers?

1. DisplayFusion just uses the ID of whatever monitor is being split. So if the single large Surround display is monitor ID 2, then DisplayFusion splits them into 2.1, 2.2, and 2.3.

2. This should actually be fixed up in the recent 5.1.1 Beta versions. Here's the link for Beta 5 (beta 6 has an issue with the maximize locking): http://www.binaryfortress.com/Files/DisplayFusion/DisplayFusionSetup-5.1.1-Beta5.exe.

3. Same as #2 above.

4. What size mode did you select on the Settings > Windows Logon tab? The splitting itself doesn't have any effect on the logon screen.

5. This is a known issue, caused by a conflict between DF and the Nvidia drivers. We've attempted to contact Nvidia's developer support but haven't heard back.

6. That is how it should be, as we can't add our extra features to the Windows taskbar.

7. This isn't currently possible, but is on our list. If we're able to implement it in the future, we'll post an update :)

8. Which Nvidia tray icon does that? I can't seem to find a way to enable a tray icon in the Nvidia Control Panel.

9. We don't have a way to hook the windows that are launched from the native Windows taskbar yet, but that's also on our list to fix :)

10. I wasn't able to reproduce this issue here. Do you have any Window Location rules setup for explorer.exe?

Thanks!

We've just released a new DisplayFusion beta version (http://www.displayfusion.com/Download/Beta/) and #9 should be all fixed up. Please let us know if you run into any trouble after updating.

Thanks!
