I found the thread "DF 5.1.0 b14/b15/b16 issue with Directory Opus 10"
I didn't use the beta release but the automatic update to 5.1 that occured in the last few days created the problem for me also.
I noted that you opened a ticket with Microsoft 13 days ago and I was wondering if there has been any progress.
Thanks.

We did hear back from Microsoft, and it's turned out to be an issue related to the security in Windows. Long story short, our hooks run with high integrity, and the Directory Opus hooks run at a lower integrity. Unfortunately Windows won't pass hook messages from a high integrity hook to a lower integrity hook for security reasons.

We're currently working with the Directory Opus devs to try and find a solution, but in the meantime, there are a couple of workarounds:
  • Since the hooks are Last In, First Out, if you make sure that Directory Opus is launched after DisplayFusion, it will get the hook messages first, and then send them off to DisplayFusion when it's done.
  • Disable the options under the Settings > Window Management > Mouse Management section in DisplayFusion.

I'll post an update in the other Discussions topic when we have more news on whether we were able to get a solution going between us and Directory Opus :)

Thanks!

Thanks for your reply.
I disabled the mouse options as you suggested and it fixed the problem.
I went back to using WizMouse to scroll windows that are out of focus. I had disabled it when seeing that you had introduced that feature.
Hopefully you'll work out a solution with the DOpus developers soon so that I can switch back to your options.
Thanks again.

Alrighty! We've just released a new DisplayFusion beta version (http://www.displayfusion.com/Download/Beta/) and the Directory Opus devs have also released a new beta that fixes this issue (http://resource.dopus.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=20153). Please let us know if you run into any trouble after updating.

Just installed the beta version of both programs and the problem is now fixed. Great. I can now go back to your Mouse Management. I really like the "Prevent mouse cursor from snagging on unaligned monitor edges" option (which was not offered by WizMouse).
Thanks again for providing a fix so quickly!

Awesome, glad to hear it! A big thanks goes out to the Directory Opus team for working with us on this issue, and for issuing their new beta so quickly as well :)
