Hello,
In Beta4, moving a maximized window between monitors is not possible.
They can still be moved by keybinds and mouse clicks but not draggable.
Confirmed it broke in this version by rolling back to Beta3 where it still works.

PFA the requested log, timestamp is 08:24 but it's the only thing I did while logging was enabled.
First I tried to move a window by dragging, then moved it by middle-click, tried dragging again, and then did the same with moving it with hotkey.
Both middle-click and hotkey moving works, dragging does not.

Another thing that might be of interest: I've been observing middle-click moving not working in ~80% of cases when the window I'm trying to move is not the active window. This has been going on for some weeks (maybe a few months?) but was working fine earlier.
And in Beta4, there is an even bigger issue: sometimes when middle-clicking somewhere in the middle of a window (e.g. Firefox, trying to open a link in a new tab), the window moves to the next monitor like I was clicking on the title bar.

Thanks for sending that over, we'll take a look into it and let you know if we need any other info.
Thanks!

Hi,
Log attached, timestamp is 19:28.
This version is even worse, middle-click move stopped working as well for Firefox (weirdly, some other applications I've tried still can be moved by middle-click).
During logging, first I tried to move the window by dragging, then tried middle-click (which worked in every version until this one) then keybind. Keybind still works for every application I've tried.

Thanks for sending that over, we got some more changes coming in our next beta.
For Firefox, are you middle clicking the minimize/maximize buttons?

Thanks for the update!
I'm not middle-clicking any buttons, just somewhere in the the middle of the titlebar.
It seems to be working fine on my end. What version of Firefox are you running?
Do you have the menu bars enabled in Firefox?

Yes, I have menu bar and normal titlebar (I'm not clicking on the menu bar).
I think I also had to enable "Treat Top-Tab Browser Windows as Standard Windows" for it to work with normal titlebar (it was a long time ago so I can't remember exactly why but I just checked and this option is enabled now).

Yes sorry if I wasn't clear enough, this problem with Firefox specifically only came up in Beta7, it was working in every previous version.
I was even testing it with Firefox so you can find an example of it working in my previous log.

The latest version of FireFox (v116) seems to support middle clicking the titlebar again. We're going to add the code back in for the next beta and see if it fixes this up. You won't need that advanced setting enabled anymore as well.
We've released a new beta that should fix up the maximize and Firefox issue, could you try it out and let me know if the issue persists?

Middle-clicking the Firefox titlebar works again, but maximized windows still cannot be dragged.
Also, moving Firefox with middle-click is very slow compared to anything else and to moving it with keybind as well.
About the issue with middle-clicking inside Firefox (and not the titlebar) moving the window, I can't really test because it's intermittent and I just can't keep using a version where window dragging doesn't work.

I'm happy to report that dragging is working again in Beta9.
Moving Firefox or Thunderbird with middle-click is still slow though (only with click, not keybind, and only these as far as I can tell).
Is there anything that can be done about this?
Thanks!

If you meant to link 10.1-Beta2 from around April then yes, this is actually the last version that worked well and I have been using it ever since.
Yeah that was the last beta we had the ESET fix in before we had to remove it due to other issues. We'll need to find another work around here, so I'll re-open it for us to take another look at.
Thanks!

Alright, let me know if I can do any further tests or logs.
About the Firefox moving when clicking inside the window and not the titlebar, do you have any idea what the cause could be or maybe how to easily reproduce it? It seems very sporadic and I haven't been able to pinpoint anything about it. This was already present in Beta2 if that helps at all.
Or should I open a new topic for this one?
Thanks!

Let's create a new topic for that, as this one is getting a bit long. Could you send over a video of that issue?

I've created a new topic for the wrong moving problem:
https://www.displayfusion.com/Discussions/View/firefox-middle-click-inside-the-window-moves-it-to-next-monitor/?ID=1301c137-6b7a-4c88-9569-cb9fd3b29aa7
So we can keep this one for the issue about the actually indended window moving.
