A recent AVG and Avast antivirus update is preventing DisplayFusion 9.9 from launching on some systems.
If you're running into this issue, please update to the latest DisplayFusion 10.0 Beta.

Brief recurring system freeze

I'm using DF on two computers, my home system and my work system. I'm seeing an issue on the work system that is not happening on the home computer; namely, the system will lock up for a fraction of a second at regular intervals. If I'm typing the letters will freeze for a moment, then all populate abruptly. If I'm watching a video or listening to audio, the stream will lock up for a moment then continue.

Work system is running Windows 10.

Any suggestions most welcome!

Hi Sean,

That's strange it only happens on one of your computers. If you exit DisplayFusion on the one that has this issue, does the problem go away immediately?

Yes, the issue stops when I shut DF down. I should mention that the issue happens regularly, but not constantly - that is, it's not happening every few seconds but rather with significant time gaps between recurrences - enough so that I haven't really been able to track how long between events. I am only using DF really for wallpaper switching, so I initially thought it might be associated with that but I set the switch time to 360 minutes and it still happens.

Could you send me a copy of your troubleshooting info? Here are the steps:
  • Open the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Click the "Export Info to File" button
  • Reply with the file attached

Also if you disable DisplayFusion from managing your wallpaper entirely, does the issue persist?

Replied to the email, but replying here as well - attaching the log. Hadn't tried disabling the wallpaper management to see if the problem persists, trying that now.
