Having DF installed on a new PC it keeps crashing the first times whenever the user logs in with this:

Code

Application: DisplayFusion.exe
CoreCLR Version: 8.0.2225.52707
.NET Version: 8.0.22
Description: The process was terminated due to an unhandled exception.
Exception Info: System.AccessViolationException: Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt.
Stack:
   at BFClientTools.BFNativeMethods.ShellExecuteEx(SHELLEXECUTEINFO ByRef)
   at BFClientTools.BFNativeMethods.ShellExecuteEx(SHELLEXECUTEINFO ByRef)
   at fI40.LI4S.StartProcessShellExecuteNeedDispose(System.String, System.String, System.String, ShellExecuteVerbEnum, ShowWindowEnum)
   at Hxa.Rx7.ExternalHookStartIfNeededTHREAD(ArchitectureEnum, System.String, System.String, System.String)
   at Hxa.Rx7+<>c__DisplayClass16_0.<ExternalHookStartIfNeededUITHREADONLY>b__0()
   at JIFw.lIFs+jSfV+<>c__DisplayClass28_0.<.ctor>b__0()
   at System.Threading.ExecutionContext.RunInternal(System.Threading.ExecutionContext, System.Threading.ContextCallback, System.Object)

After manually trying to run again, usually the 3rd or 4th time succeeds.

Please fix this.

Honestly it sounds like your PC is unstable. Perhaps the memory timings are set too aggressive, causing pointer corruption. If this is a PC that was custom built, you might try disabling XMP/EXPO in BIOS as a test. You can also test using the Windows Memory Diagnostic tool.

If you had a 13th/14th gen Intel i7/i9... I might point at that, but you probably won't find those in new PCs.

If you are using Explorer Patcher it can cause this issue along with many other issues.
