Don't know if this is a known issue, or if it's just my computer being weird. But only my second monitor seems to really acknowledge DF. I can't get the start button with windows 7 style on my main monitor. I have to add that when I alt tab, it only works for the main monitor, so maybe it has to do with a setting in Windows 8 Im not aware of...

If anyone could shed any light on this, I would be very grateful.

Kind regards
Marius

We had to remove the custom Start menu we were implementing, but if you update to the latest beta (http://www.displayfusion.com/Download/Beta/), and install Classic Shell (http://classicshell.sourceforge.net), you should get a Start menu on all taskbars.

Regarding the alt-tab issue: This is a Windows 8 issue that we had to work around by creating our own alt-tab handler. You can enable it in the Advanced Settings (the Advanced Settings button is at the bottom of the normal Settings window).

Please let me know if you have any other questions at all.

Thanks!

Thanks for the quick reply!

I activated the Alt tab handler and everything is working like a charm :)

Also installed the Classic Shell and was wondering if I can change the icon?

Well I forgot to explain it in the post, did put it in the title. I have the option enabled "Change taskbar color based on wallpaper" But the main monitor taskbar isn't responding to the main monitor wallpaper. Both taskbars are based on the second monitors wallpaper.

If I remember correctly at home I have different colors for both monitor's taskbars (am at work right now)

Also right-clicking on my main monitors taskbar doesnt bring up DF's menu for customization.

Thanks for this great application!

Excellent! You should be able to change the Start button icon in the Classic Shell settings. After changing it, just restart DisplayFusion to reload the taskbar with the new Start button icon.

Regarding the taskbar colour, it's unfortunately not possible to set different colours on each taskbar. It's likely that they look slightly different due to being able to see some of the wallpaper through the taskbar. For example, if you had a red wallpaper on one monitor, and green one on the other monitor. One taskbar would look slightly more red, and the other would look slightly more green :)

The Aero colour should be based on the dominant colour of the wallpaper on the Primary monitor. Is it not?

Now that you mention it, it's probably my own "fault". Ive always had similar background colors on both monitors but recently Ive changed that.

And Ive found the Start button settings :) Thanks a lot for the support :)
