Hi,

I installed and setup Classic Shells start button behavior independently of DF. When I enable the DF start buttons they do not honor the settings I set for my main start button. The start button image is the wrong size and clicking it brings me to the Modern UI screen and not to the Classic Shell start menu as set for my main monitor.

The weird thing is that when I look at the settings via the DF start button it brings up the same settings as for my main monitor and they are all set correctly. It seems that the DF start button does nor honor these settings.

Thanks

SurfRat.

Quick question: In the Classic Shell settings, did you configure the Windows Key to open the native Windows 8 Start screen?

Yes, that's correct. On my main monitor clicking the start button opens the classic shell menu. On the DF start button it opens the start screen. Also button sizes are not correct. The DF start buttons seem to be ignoring all the settings I set for my main screens start button.

Ok, gotcha. At the moment, DisplayFusion sends the Windows key to invoke the Start menu before it moves it to the other monitor. We're currently looking into whether we can make it invoke the Start menu using a different method. I'll be sure to post an update as soon as we have more news.

Thanks!

DisplayFusion 5.1 Beta 4 (http://www.displayfusion.com/Download/Beta/) is now available, and this issue should be all fixed up! Could you give it a try when you have a chance?

Thanks!

Thanks for the update...

Yes, the button behavior is now correct. Unfortunately it is not honoring all settings. I use a custom image and the DF taskbar start button is not sizing it correctly.

Progress :)

You can adjust the start button size in Advanced Settings; Taskbar; Start Button Scale.

I set mine at 1.2

Good luck.

Thanks Sarris! @SurfRat: DisplayFusion can't reliably detect the size of custom buttons, so Sarris' solution is definitely the way to fix it up :)
