I am running windows 10 x64.

My issue is that DF fails to start properly with windows even though it is in the start menu and is set to start on boot. Although it shows all of my taskbars correctly and so forth when a program is opened that is supposed to flick to my primary monitor instead of opening on my tertiary monitor this does not occur nor does the move to window button work, it simply sets the program into windowed mode and sits there.

The only fix I have come across that remotely works at this time is to reinstall the application and force it to start that way as the program is already listed as running in the task manager.

I have tried a clean install of DF (uninstall + removal of appdata folders and registry entries etc) this did not work.

What can I do to fix this ?

If you open File Explorer and navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\DisplayFusion, then right-click DisplayFusion.exe, choose Properties, and click the Compatibility tab, are any of the options enabled there? More specifically, is the "Run as administrator" option enabled?

RAA is not enabled, it was previously but did not appear to make any difference in the operation off the app. The main program starts and shows as running in the taskbar but does not start any of the additional extras (apphook etc)

Ok, could you send me a debug log? Here are the steps:
  • On the Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L1: Log Minimal"
  • Reboot
  • Send us the DisplayFusion.log and DebugInfo.html files (can be found by clicking the Open Log button on the Troubleshooting tab)
  • Disable debug logging after sending the log

Thanks!

It appears that turning RAA off actually worked this time.

Here are the logs as requested however
• Attachment [protected]: DebugInfo.html [122,693 bytes]
• Attachment [protected]: DisplayFusion.log [2,003,499 bytes]

Thanks! Glad to hear that worked. Windows doesn't allow any program with "Run as administrator" enabled to start automatically at startup :(
