Hello together
does DisplayFusion suppport it?
If yes how do you set it up?
It would be usefull to identify the desktops fast.
If not supported yet any plan to do it?
Best Regards
Wolfgang

We don't have any plans to add this in the immediate future, but it is on our feature request list, so I've added your vote to it :)

Thanks!

Afternoon,

Can you add my vote to the feature list as well please.

I have a multiple desktop setup and would like to choose different wallpaper to reflect which interface I am using.

Where do you vote on the feature list by the way?

Regards
Paul

Please add my vote as well!

It would be super helpful to identify which desktop one currently works. Also, one could have one dedicated for work/screensharing etc with corporate and professional background and the others could have more fun themes :)

I also would love to have this feature. As suggested above by Sebastian I use one virtual desktop for work related stuff and one for private usage.

Adding my vote here but for Windows 11. Only reason I would like this is it makes it easier to know what desktop I'm on when there's no windows present.

Please add my voite for Win11. Also, if possible have it where the desktop name could be added to options to write to the background img like other Windows setting/info.

Need bad. I've had to turn off multi monitor taskbars to get virtual desktops working on machines where I use display fusion. I don't install DF on some machines specifically to keep virtual desktops running. Now I am going to turn off DF wallpapers to get different desktops :-(

I'd settle for having fancy DF wall paper on one desktop and dumb single color on other desktops if that saves some development time.

Even making it so that I could have only the Info change in a specific spot with text indicating the name of the virtual desktop would be golden. Like I pick bottom left and specify {virtual desktop name} would be sufficient. I don't need or even want full DF wallpapers which are different per virtual desktop. We just need to be able to easily tell them apart.

This is going to be key as Microsoft starts eating away at the benefits of Display Fusion. Ignore this at DF's peril.

For others, I use Virtual Desktop Manager which displays a iny number in the tray to help with this. It ain't great but it works.

I'll add I'd happily pay extra for a pro version of DF to have these features more aimed at the software professionals using fancier features of windows.

EDIT: I looked back and I already pay for the "pro" but now run it only on one machine due to need for virtual desktops and DF interfering. Might be time to add this feature to the pro version.

Add my vote please.

I find myself in the same situation, wanting to keep some Virtual Desktops with bland wallpaper for work use, and keep the fancy/fun wallpaper for my personal Desktop.

For me this serves multiple purposes:
1) Safeguard: I need a bland or professional wallpaper for my work desktop so I don't need to worry about taking screenshots, recording videos, or screen sharing.
2) Easy Identification: A different wallpaper would make it easier for me to tell which Virtual Desktop I am on, which could be a personal virtual desktop, a work desktop, or a hybrid.

I would be willing to pay more or buy an additional tool to have more control over this.

My +1 on this too please.
Do we have public visibility of the "feature request list"? Can we get a link?

There's not much more I'd want/need from DisplayFusion, but separate wallpapers on virtual desktops would be pretty cool. It would also be nice to be able to disable the slide animation when switching desktops, but that may be outside the scope of this application.

Please add me as well. I'm on Windows 11. With 7 virtual desktops, I use wallpaper to tell me which one I'm on. With DF, I could name the wallpaper jpgs as the name of the desktop and then display that name with the wp-title info tag. On top of that, the sysadmin sometimes resets our wallpaper so being able to load a wallpaper profile, using a virtual desktop switch as a trigger would solve all of my issues. Or better yet, add the virtual desktop name as a System Info Tag, that way I don't have to change the image name.

Now that I'm thinking about it, these 3 changes would give me/(us?) what's needed, I believe.
1. Add Virtual Desktop Name as a System Info Tag
2. Add Virtual Desktop Switch as a monitored trigger event
3. Add Virtual Desktop Name as a Match Condition attribute.

I'm thinking that I could then have a trigger based on the Virtual Desktop Switch event and then a series of conditions for each Virtual Desktop Name that would load the correspondng Wallpaper profile.

In the short term, if there were at least a Virtual Desktop Name System Info Tag (1 above), then even if the wallpaper had to be the same for all desktops, I could at least see the name of the VD that I'm on.
