Hi,

I'm having a bit of trouble keeping windows on the right monitor. I have three monitors, one of which is plugged in via hdmi and as such is treated as plug and play meaning any time I turn that monitor on/off windows are reshuffled. Of course this is a windows issue and can't be thwarted. At the moment I am able to keep certain windows on the correct monitor using the force location option that displayfusion possesses. However, I have multiple browser windows (chrome/palemoon/opera/etc) and would like to know if there is any way to force the location of each window when all three monitors are on. Currently they all clump together on the primary monitor and going through and moving each window to the right one is cumbersome when you have 20-odd windows to distribute. I had hoped there might be some sort of shortcut combination to move all selected windows to another monitor but no such luck.

Any help or input would be most appreciated.

Thank you for your time (it is quite a rambling paragraph or so).

Edit: Perhaps there is a snapshot functionality that I don't know about that records the position of windows that I can then revert back to?

Unfortunately windows can only be moved based on the process, not the window itself. However, we do have an open feature request for an option to save and restore Window positions, so I'll add your vote to that request. If we're able to implement it in the future, we'll be sure to post an update!

Thanks!

In the latest DisplayFusion beta (http://www.displayfusion.com/Download/Beta/), we’ve added two new Functions on the Settings > Functions tab for saving and restoring window positions. Just assign key combinations to them (or set them as TitleBar Buttons), and you should be all set!

Thanks!
