In Apex Legends, I get 1-3 second series of stutters that are quite noticeable and significant. Strangely they occur at regular intervals of around 45-60 seconds, as shown on the frametime graphs comparison.

I can reliably make the problem stop when I close displayfusion, and reappear when I open it again.

It took me a while to realise this was a stuttering issue, and even longer to see that it was a regular one. It took me even longer still to realise that closing displayfusion stopped the problem entirely, so I'm not sure when it started and what versions of displayfusion were affected. This problem has been happening for at least 6 months, potentially longer without me being aware of it.

As far as I'm aware it only makes a difference in Apex Legends, although I also have had some hard-to-replicate issues in Overwatch 2 where after waking from sleep I sometimes get low CPU/GPU usage with halved framerates. I haven't tested if this is solved simply by closing displayfusion because I haven't played OW2 in a few months.

I use Win10, i7-8700K, GTX 3080, 32GB DDR4 RAM, and DisplayFusion Pro on Steam V10.1.2

Is this a known issue with a fix? there are some threads I've consulted such as this that said to uncheck "Enable Titlebar Buttons" but it hasnt changed anything

NEVERMIND, I actually followed the instructions further down on that other post I linked, and went to Compatibility and disabled application hooks specifically for Apex Legends and it seems to have stopped the issue. Will continue to test but it's looking good!

I hope it will fix potentially related framerate issues I have with OW2 as well but I won't reinstall that just to test for now.
