Trying to install version 8 and getting the following error after launching the installer:
Unable to execute file in the temporary directory. Setup aborted. Error 5: Access is denied.
I'm in an enterprise environment, but running as an account in the local admins group. Running Windows 7 Enterprise 64 bit. In the past I have been able to update on the fly, but when that failed this time I downloaded the installer and attempted to run it as Administrator. Still got the same error.
Is there a group policy on your corporate network that prevents applications from running in the temp or AppData directories? Some companies put this in to defend against CryptoLocker, etc, but it prevent our installer from extracting and running
