With mcshield running, DisplayFusion has about 10-15 second lag intervals. Clicks do not register until the end of that interval where the DisplayFusion TaskBar redraws itself on my second monitor. I have 4 CPUs and plenty of RAM. DisplayFusion must be blocking on waiting for something from McAfee to draw in the system tray.

Which versions of DisplayFusion and McAfee Antivirus are you running? If you haven't already, could you try the latest DisplayFusion Beta version from the link below to make sure the issue still exists?

Thanks!

Unless otherwise specified you can assume I'm using the latest versions of both as per posting date.

Fair enough. If you disable the System Tray on the DisplayFusion taskbar (right-click > Multi-Monitor Taskbar > System Tray > Disabled), do you still run into issues when McShield is running?

I'd like to test it here as well. Are you running McAfee Antivirus Plus, McAfee Internet Security, or McAfee Total Protection?

I too am having a similar problem, I have tried disabling the System Tray, as per below, but that hasn't made any difference. This is on a work machine which is running McAfee VirusScan Enterprise + AntiSpyware

Running the latest version (4.2.0 - beta 1) - although it did seem to be happening with the previous version as well.

Just a further note, I downgraded to the release version of 4.1 and still got the same problems.

Cheers,
Rupert.

@Rupert: Would you be able to try the previous (4.0.1) stable version from the link below to see if you have the same issues?

Thanks!

Logged back on to the work machine this morning and version 4.1 seems to be fine, all I can think is that there was a rollout of something that caused issues, but it has either been removed, or something else has changed to fix the problem.

I had tried rebooting after the various installs last week, but that didn't seem to fix it.

Anyway, all working OK now!

Cheers,
Rupert.

Note: I am also running Mcafee/ePO on an enterprise W/S, so this may be causing my issues with DF taskbar not responding for long periods.

I am going to try 4.2 beta 1.

If you guys are still having issues with McAfee and DisplayFusion, could you try updating to 4.2 Beta 4? We've made some changes that should hopefully resolve the issue.

Thanks!
