Hey everyone!

I am using the latest beta version on Windows 10 build 10130 and there seems to be a memory leak - after an hour or so, DisplayFusion will be using 1.4 Gb of memory. Any ideas what could be causing this?

Cheers

I've run into this here as well. It's definitely related to Windows 10, and we're working on tracking it down. I'll be sure to let you know as soon as we've gotten it fixed up :)

Thanks for the quick reply and info! I look forward to a fix - DisplayFusion is just too good to go without! :-)

BTW, I have an off-topic question, if you don't mind: I bought DisplayFusion through Steam and now I always have to install the non-beta Steam version before installing the non-Steam beta version because I don't have a license I could enter during the install of the beta. Is there any way of getting around this? Can I convert my Steam license to a non-Steam one or something like that?

Sure! Just send us an email at support@displayfusion.com with a copy of your Steam license key next time you need to install it and we'll help you out :)

The leak is in the Alt+Tab handler, so if you disable that the leak will stop. Of course, this makes alt+tab a lot worse but it's a decent temporary measure until it is fixed. This is what I did since I posted about this issue and I haven't had any issues in over a week.

Awesome - thank you both for your helpful replies! :) I will try disabling the Alt Tab handler and see if it helps!

We've just released a new DisplayFusion beta version (http://www.displayfusion.com/Download/Beta/) and this issue should be all fixed up. Please let us know if you run into any trouble after updating.

Thanks!

Keith... so can I update to this Beta version being that I have a Steam version 7.2 license? Because I have Windows 10 and Display Fusion seems to be consuming anywhere from 150mb - 250mb of RAM ... even if I'm not running anything like a game or video... just the desktop and task manager.

@zentsang: You sure can! Just enable the beta update checks on the Settings > Options tab, apply the settings, then click Check for Updates :)
