I'm using Brave browser (Chromium clone) and then also Franz from portapps

I can probably find more examples. Using latest beta.

Wondering if the icon place could be "smarter"?

Maybe you can replicate?

Are you on Windows 7, using the Windows Classic Theme?

Good point, I had not considered theme... but yes, I'm using Windows Classic theme. I didn't want to waste CPU cycles having Windows 7 draw pretty round curves around windows. I have some things like font smoothing turned on though.

Did you have to do anything special to get Brave to work with the Windows 7 Classic Theme? When I try to launch it, I just get a blank window, it never shows up :(

I downloaded it from here:

No, it just ran. Even Chrome regular install may sometimes show this behavior when the "window" is not standard and hard to detect. Maybe custom ability to move the pixels per application?

You can do that already, I was just hoping to also be able to hard-code exceptions in to make this work :)

To move the buttons for an application:

  • On the DisplayFusion Settings > Compatibility tab, click Add
  • Select the application, or just wildcard its exe name in the Application box, like this: *brave.exe
  • Use the Titlebar Button Horizontal Offset values to move them. The values are in pixels, and negative values will move them to the left

Hope that helps!
