Hello,

I noticed that ever since the windows 10 update my photo screen saver has not been working, just shows a black screen. Other screen savers seem to work, just not the photo one.

Could you send me a screenshot of the Settings > Screen Saver tab, as well as the settings for the DF Photos Screen Saver itself?

Came here looking for this exact problem. Ever since a recent Windows update, my multi-monitor display fusion photo screensaver just shows black screens. Attached my screenshot. I did not change anything in my settings, it just stopped working one day. If you need to note it, I have four monitors.

Well I played around with the settings because I noticed the preview was only showing one screen, and I got an interesting result. When I uncheck "span image across all monitors" I get a preview of my four screens - good! Well not really, now the screensaver only shows an image on the top left screen, and an error message on the top right screen. The bottom two screens are still just black.

Another update:

So I was curious as to why one screen worked and not the others, and I think I made a discovery. If I go to each monitor in the drop down list and configure the exact same settings (photo screen saver and whatever my preferences were in the settings menu) I can get a photo screen saver on each screen... but that's not how it functioned previously. When it was working previously, I had the screen saver set to "span screen saver across all monitors" and it would show an individual image on each of the four screens. It would then cycle one image on one monitor at a time (so monitor one would change an image, then monitor 2 would, etc...) This means an image stayed on the screen until it's turn to change was up. With the way I got it to work now, each of the monitors changes its image at the exact same time (every 5 seconds). This is clunky. How do I get it back the way I had it before?

Looks like this is an issue with the "Staggered" mode in the screen saver settings. I've added this to our list to fix up for the next version :)

Thanks!

We've just released a new DisplayFusion beta version (http://www.displayfusion.com/Download/Beta/) and this issue should be all fixed up. Please let us know if you run into any trouble after updating.

Thanks!

My photo screensaver does not work since last update. I used to get tiles of my photos from my pictures album and the screensaver came on in half a minute. I have changed the settings but, even though I have photos screensaver set, I get a blank page instead of screensaver. Can you help me fix this? I do not want to go into the registry. Thank you!

Can you check the C:\Program Files (x86)\DisplayFusion folder to see if the "DFSSaver.scr" file exists?

How? I put that in search and it says nothing exists.

Could you attach a copy of your troubleshooting info? Here are the steps:
  • Open the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Click the "Export Info to File" button
  • Reply with the file attached

i do not see a troubleshooting tab under settings. I did search for it and there is no tab for exporting the file into the reply.

I should clarify, the troubleshooting tab is in the DisplayFusion Settings window, which you can access by right-clicking the desktop and navigating to DisplayFusion > Settings.

Hi Keith,

I am also having trouble with this.

I just purchased Pro specifically to enable photo screensavers on my dual monitors and it's not working.

Here is my troubleshooting attached.

Thanks.

If you navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\DisplayFusion, does the DFSSaver.scr file exist?
