Hi all (Keith?)

Under the right click menu "Desktop Wallpaper Settings" I'd love to see a "Delete image" option.
I know that sounds kind of crazy but I have a vast amount of backgrounds. Say 4000 for example
I know about 95% of these I love, but isolating the 5% I don't would be difficult, frustrating and time consuming.

Since it's not a high priority for me, I'd love for me to just casually delete them as they rotate now and then.

I've wanted this in multiple Wallpaper apps over the years, would you be willing to consider?
Obviously an "Are you sure, this will delete this wallpaper!?" dialogue box would be needed.

Thanks for your time

We are planning to add an "Open Image in Explorer" option to the desktop menu, then from there you can delete it or do whatever you want. :)

Thanks!

Where's Keith?
I'd prefer delete simply if I'm going through a huge quantity but this is definitely better than nothing (as long as it highlights the exact file of course, pretty sure you can get Explorer to do that)

Back from vacation today! It will indeed select the right file when Explorer opens :)

We've just released a new DisplayFusion beta version (http://www.displayfusion.com/Download/Beta/) and the desktop context menu now has an option for opening the wallpaper in Windows Explorer. Please let us know if you run into any trouble after updating.

Thanks!

I just attempted to use this with Windows 10 -- and it did not work for me.
I am using DisplayFusion Pro 7.3 .

Right Click on Desktop
select Display Fusion ---> Open Wallpaper Image in Windows Explorer

Nothing Happened as far as I could tell.
In Windows 10 -- Windows Explorer is now called File Explorer.

I am using randomly selected files from several folders on my Computer as my Wallpaper.

@Robert: Could you send over a debug log?
  • On the Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L1: Log Minimal"
  • Restart DisplayFusion
  • Reproduce the issue and note the time so we'll know where to check in the log file
  • Send us the DisplayFusion.log and DebugInfo.html files (can be found by clicking the Open Log button on the Troubleshooting tab)
  • Disable debug logging after sending the log

Keith - I have never used the Troubleshooting tab before.
So understand - I don't really know what is suppose to happen on the Troubleshooting tab.

However, on my Windows 10 System --
When I push the "Open Log" button -- nothing seems to happen.

I expected to see a Dialog Box, pointing to the DisplayFusion.log and/or the DebugInfo.html files .
Again -- nothing seemed to happen.

Thanks! The log doesn't show any errors, but it definitely seems that DisplayFusion is having trouble launching the File Browser on your machine, because the Open Log button on the Troubleshooting tab is also supposed to open File Browser to the folder that contains the log.

We'll investigate to see if there's some more logging we can add to try to determine why it's failing.

Keith -- The problem that I was having was related to a conflict with Directory Opus -- which is a file manager that I use.
Here is a link to Directory Opus's homepage: http://www.gpsoft.com.au/

Directory Opus has "Explorer Replacement" settings.
When I disabled those settings -- Display Fusion started acting as expected and desired.

From my perspective -- I am happy. I do not need the problematic Directory Opus settings invoked.

What now - if anything?
I am okay -- but should Directory Opus be contacted?

Ah, ok, thanks Robert! If you're happy, then we're happy :)

I'm familiar with Directory Opus, so I'll test that out and we'll contact their devs if needed.

Thanks!
