Hi,

I'd like to request a feature, that I'm a little surprised isn't already in there. I'd like to have both (or all, as the case may be) of my monitors display the same random image. I can manually set each monitor to be the same, or I can tell them both to draw from the same folder of images, but there does not appear to be an easy way to use any of the randomization features and guarantee both/all monitors will show the same background.

That said, I did find a workaround, that at least gives the desired appearance, although with some side effects. I was able to:
1) Span an Image across all Monitors
2) For Size Mode: Choose Stretch or Fit Best & Clip
3) For both monitors, set the 'Scale Image Percent' property to 50%
4) For the left monitor, set the image position to be (-1/2)*(screen_resolution_width)
5) For the right monitor, set the image position to be (1/2)*(screen_resolution_width)

This works well enough as a work around, however:
1) This can get tricky for more than two monitors
2) Its display is tied to a monitor configuration
when I reassign one of my monitors to my macbook, windows' resolution is halved, and the math above is invalid.

I would like to see a new option in the "Background Mode" radio button group, which lets me choose "Use the same Image for all monitors."

Thanks,
cheek

Hi Jon,

I had this question/request some time ago - could I ask you if my vote was included too?

Thanks a lot for your help!

Hi All,

I have a question that I cannot find the answer to, or perhaps I am not used to the many options in DF! :-)

I have a dual display set up at the moment and my question is how can I ensure that when a wallpaper is changed via the "Randomly change using images from my computer" that the same image is shown on both displays when using this mode?
I do not want different images on each monitor, but instead I would like the same image displayed on both displays but stretched to fit (my displays have different resolutions).

Could you please let me know if this is possible, or am I missing a special option?

Thank you very much for your help!

hi guys, what i do to alow to show/rotate random wallpaper but chosen ones for each monitor.
tick - Show images in alp order. Make how many folders you need that will represent each monitor, and place what wallpaper you want in it. Now Name your pics with numbers. So scr 1, pic 1. scr 2, pic 1.
So now it will show from folder 1 picture 1 on monitor 1 - and folder 2 picture 1 will show on monitor 2.

If your rotation gets messed up, then clear images on all monitors and reply your settings.

Hope this helps you.

@Polshgiant: I've added your vote to the request. It's definitely planned but we can't guarantee any timelines on it just yet.

@Gorilla: Good workaround, thanks for posting it!

We're planning a bunch of wallpaper changes for the version after 3.5, so we'll likely be rolling it in with those :)

Thanks!

Hi all,

Just a quick update to let you know that DisplayFusion 4.1 Beta 9 (http://www.displayfusion.com/Download/Beta/) now provides the ability to use the same image on all monitors.

Thanks!
