Not sure if something's changed on the DF, DB, or Windows side recently, but I noticed today that my typical setup no longer shows multi-monitor wallpaper correctly.

I have 3x Dell u2415 (16:10, 1920x1200) monitors with Display Fusion managing the wallpapers and set to pull 5760x1200 images from my DigitalBlasphemy account. Config is set to span the image across monitors and has the Tile sizing option selected.

If I use the setup above, I get something like the following:
http://i.imgur.com/CiItXxp.jpg

Note that the image is skewed and shows very little of the image itself.

If I use the same setup but choose a local folder of 5760x1200 images, I get the following:
http://i.imgur.com/YJ4OY04.jpg

Note that the image is evenly distributed and looks fine.

Debug info is attached if needed. TIA for the help!

If you look in the Pictures\DisplayFusion\Web Images folder, what are the dimensions of the image that it's downloaded?

Interesting... I don't see anything in that folder at all. I just went in and flipped the settings back to the 5760x1200, tiled, span, source = Digital Blasphemy, let it load the first image, then did a "load next wallpaper slideshow image" from the right click menu. I have a background image but nothing present in the folder you mention (Pictures\DisplayFusion\Web Images). The directory IS there... just nothing in it. ??

Ok, so I did some digging and found the images going to "c:\Users\(myprofilename)\AppData\Local\DisplayFusion\Web Images", and the image file there is 8192x4096 :o I verified this was the correct location by forcing it to load the next image again and watched the file change.

One more note... if I switch the source to Wallpaper Fusion, I get 5760x1200 images as expected that show up in that directory. Maybe something specific to DB?

Ah yep, I forgot that we moved the temporary image directory, sorry for the confusion there!

If you go to that image on the Digital Blasphemy website, does it have a 5760x1200 option? I know that DB doesn't always have every resolution available for all images.

Yes, only as a member download, though. You can't see several of the resolutions when browsing the site without logging into a subscriber account. It was that way before as well and still worked.

Ok, and you're logged in with your member account in DisplayFusion as well?

Correct, I am logged on with my DB paid account (same creds I use on the site itself).

Do you remember how long ago this started happening? I'm wondering if something changed with the Digital Blasphemy API, as we haven't changed anything on our end in ages.

So sorry for the delay here... I don't get email/IM/text notifications on these and keep forgetting to check back in.

I can't say for sure as I spend most of the day with all 3 windows layered in apps/windows and such and just happened to notice one day that all was askew. That's when I did some experimentation and came out here to post with the details. I don't think it's been more than a month ago, though.

Ok, thanks! Nothing's changed in DisplayFusion in that time, so we've reached out to Ryan at DB to see if anything has changed with the API. We'll keep you posted when we find out more.

I suspect that something happened with the Digital Blasphemy API since I started noticing that I was seeing the same wallpapers repeatedly. In my case, it was 5760x1080 (triple screen 1080p). I noticed if I go into the DisplayFusion wallpaper settings and ran the search of Digital Blasphemy from there (using my paid DB credentials), it only returned a small number (about 25) of wallpapers matching that resolution which explained why I was seeing the repeats.

In the meantime, I just downloaded the ZIP file from Digital Blasphemy of all of the 5760x1080 wallpapers (407 of them) and then just pointed DisplayFusion at that local folder instead of the API.

@Andrew, YES! I saw the same thing when it came to the # of images downloaded. It kept pulling the same 28 images with no "Load More Images" option available whereas before it pulled a ton. I had an email conversation with Ryan over at DB, and he was going to reach out to DisplayFusion to work with them.

Hey gents! Ryan has let us know he fixed something up last night, and from our end it looks like this should be working correctly again. Could you give it a try and let me know how it goes?

Thanks!

Tried it this morning and looks like it's working again!

A feature request for Ryan: Would be great if the keyword search option in DisplayFusion worked; would love to be able to exclude keywords such as various holidays so I don't keep getting the Easter wallpapers in the middle of October :-)

Glad to hear it's working! We'll shoot an email to Ryan to see if he can add a way to exclude words through the API.

Thanks!
