Hello All,

I just upgraded to the latest version of displayfusion today, 6.1, and I immediately started having issues. This program has never given me problems in the past, but as soon as I updated to this version my wallpapers no longer randomly selected from my images. They now always choose the first folder, beginning with "A" in my images folder, and regularly show the same few images as wallpapers.

Please Advise,
Jason

I have this issue too! Display Fusion's ability to randomly display thousands of images is why I use it. Now it is ruined. Please fix ASAP.

Found this in earlier post. This fixed the problem for me:

Use in-memory collection" option in the Settings > Advanced Settings window? You'll need to restart DisplayFusion after enabling that setting, but it should make the random selection much better.

Answer from Keith Lammers found here: http://www.displayfusion.com/Discussions/View/random-wallpaper-seems-selective/?ID=de480a25-97da-471a-a475-cb0f53aeddb8

Yep, the In-Memory Collection option is the way to go for 100% random selection. It uses more memory than the normal method, but works much better :)

Alright, I'll give this a shot when I get home. Thanks for the help. Did this option change from the default from the previous version or something? I never used to have this problem, and haven't fiddled with any of the settings between update either.

We did make a lot of changes to how the random stuff works to fix some issues, but we also added this setting to allow for the best randomness, for folks that prefer that over lower memory usage :)
