Hello there :)

I am on Windows 10 using DF 8 Beta 5 on a triple monitor nvidia surround setup. While trying to solve this issue, I did a clean install of DF.

Some time ago, I set up my wallpaper profiles and enabled the feature to automatically change my lock screen to be the same as my desktop wallpaper. Now, one could say: "suddenly it stopped working". Unfortunately, I cannot tell you the exact date. It is, however, not specifically related to DF 8 Beta 5 as I already had this problem in Beta 4 (and possibly earlier versions).

When I'm logged in and lock my screen, I get the picture I'm expecting. However, if I reboot my computer or even logoff, the lock screen image will always revert back to another wallpaper. As it "suddenly" stopped working, this image will always be the last one DF could set as lock screen. (Meaning: the image I'm refering to is in DF's wallpaper rotation and was set as lock screen by DF)

To clarify (or further confuse...) :
- Let's say, DF sets my wallpapers to be A, B and C. If I now locked my screen, my lock screen would be image "A". This is the normal behaviour.
- Now, if I was to reboot my PC the lock screen would revert back to an image "X" and, as soon as I'm logged in again, it would change to A again.

I let regedit crawl through the whole registry looking for "lock screen" but I could not find anything relating to this image "X". I also looked for the image's real file name without success.
It's not that big of a problem to be fair, but somehow it is really bugging me.

Have you ever heard of any similar issues?

I attached a detailed debugging log file and troubleshooting information. But as DF is technically doing allright, I don't think this will tell much.

Would gladly appreciate any help...

Regards from Switzerland :)

Would you be able to try setting the Windows lock screen with the Windows Settings instead of DisplayFusion? I'm getting really weird results, even when using the Windows settings instead of DF. Just wondering if you're seeing the same thing.

Thanks!

Hi there

Well, the Windows built-in slideshow feature doesn't seem to work at all. No matter which folder I choose, the image won't change.
However, if I choose one single picture it will also be shown on my lockscreen after logging off. So, manually setting one specific image in Windows as lockscreen will work even after logoff.

Now the interesting part: After the above, I re-enabled the lockscreen feature in DF and logged off just to discover that my lockscreen is now again the same image "X" I mentioned in my first post. Somehow DF is desperate to keep this image as my lockscreen ;)
This image "X" is in no way special. E.g neither it's size or resolution nor it's filename would show up first/last if sorted ascending/descending. I attached the image to this post for further reference (if any).

As the "Single picture" method of Windows seemed to work, I also tried setting one specific image in DF, but unfortunately to no avail. My lockscreen won't change away from "X" as long as DF's feature is active :(

Kind regards

Ok, that sounds similar to the weirdness that I'm seeing here as well. We've put this on our list and we'll be sure to let you know when it's all fixed up :)

Thanks!

We've just released a new DisplayFusion beta version (http://www.displayfusion.com/Download/Beta/) and this issue should be all fixed up. Please let us know if you run into any trouble after updating.

Thanks!
