I have 4 monitors each with a different wallpaper. When I switch from one profile (3 monitors) to another (4 monitors), monitor 4 shows the wallpaper from monitor 3 and not its own. I have to go to Desktop Wallpaper and click OK to refresh the wallpapers, and only then it shows the right one.

On the Wallpaper window, there's a "Wallpaper Settings" button. Can you check to see if the last two options ("Warn me..." and "Fix automatically...") are enabled?

These options were not enabled by default. After I enabled them, it seems to work fine. Thank you.
